About

Hi, I’m Marlo.
I create stories, on screen and on the page, that connect deeply with audiences. If you’re looking for work that inspires and delivers, you’re in the right place.

About Me
I’m a filmmaker, storyteller and creativity coach who brings imagination and real-life stories together to create films that resonate with audiences.
Why do people turn to me?
For one, I deliver high-quality work on schedule.
They also trust my track record.
My films have screened at festivals across the U.S., premiered at Telluride and the San Francisco Documentary Festival, and been distributed by PBS. Carol Doda Topless at the Condor ran in over 150 theaters and earned a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score. My Secret Country—a hybrid doc about children, imaginary friends, and environmental imagination—was the only documentary featured in a New York Times article on the “Year of Imaginary Friends.”
I’ve collaborated with musicians, writers, and community organizations to extend the impact of my films through Q&As, workshops, and creative campaigns. My work has been supported by partnerships with nonprofits, cultural institutions, and festivals that see storytelling as a tool for change.
What Drives Me
I love the entire creative process: diving into research, sitting with people and listening to their truths, weaving imagination with reality, and shaping the narrative in the edit room until it feels alive.
Stories don’t just entertain, they open doors. They invite us to see ourselves and each other in new ways.
How I Can Help You
Whether you’re looking for a collaborator to direct, produce, or shape a story from the ground up, I bring a blend of artistry, strategy, and care.
I’ve helped organizations, festivals, and communities tell their stories through film, live events, and creative campaigns. My role often goes beyond the screen, I design workshops, impact strategies, and experiences that extend the life of a film and deepen its reach.
If you need a filmmaker who can carry a project from spark to screen and who truly loves the storytelling journey,I’d love to collaborate with you.
